Virtual Field TripsStudents grades K-6 that are taking Forest Charter Block Classes at the Imaginarium will be able to be a part of virtual field trips during the day. Virtual Reality Fieldtrips enable students to take adventures into space, visit science centers, national parks, zoos, museums and much more; all accessible as you travel virtually through cyber space. Through the Imaginarium of Nevada County fieldtrips are now available for all Nevada County students by using sophisticated and exciting technology as an innovative tool for interactive learning. Students and teachers participate live with museum educators, scientists, and others across the country using interactive videoconferencing. On a typical field trip students are engaged in standards based lessons by participating in hands on activities and viewing items only a museum or other educational centers can offer. Virtual Reality Fieldtrips are a fun and motivational way to meet standards. http://www.nevco.k12.ca.us/imaginar.htm Contact Information:For more information, contact Helena Heinzelman at (530) 478-6400 ext. 231 or Judy Nielsen, Director (530) 478-6400 ext. 207
