Sierra College Academic Enrichment
One of the benefits of attending Forest Charter School is that students can take classes at Sierra College and receive credits for both high school and college. Forest Charter School is proud of its relationship with Sierra College and therefore attending classes at Sierra College is a privilege that our students must earn. Further, attending college classes can be intimidating and Forest Charter School wants to support its students and be sure that this experience will add to their learning rather than burden it. Although taking college classes can accelerate a student’s completion of high school, this option is not intended to be a tool to speed up graduation. Rather, it is an opportunity that allows advanced students to enhance their learning options. Students in grades 9-12 may take classes at Sierra College and have the units count for high school credit if they meet the following requirements/ considerations. Sierra College credits will translate to Forest Charter School Credits in the following manner:
