I received my BA and teaching credential from California State University in Sacramento. I developed a tutoring business and tutored all subjects, with my primary focus on students who have learning disabilities. I find it exciting to take students from being non-readers to being able to function at grade level. I thoroughly enjoy working in the personalized learning model and like the challenge of problem solving to address each student’s needs.

I became a full time educational specialist, while teaching drama, service learning, and cooking classes. Education Specialist
Born in San Francisco, California and raised in Carmel, Indiana, I have the benefit of being born in one of the most liberal parts of the country and growing up in one of the most conservative. I received my bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of California at Davis and was granted my post-baccalaureate degree in Secondary Education from Sierra Nevada College. An avowed news junkie and wannabe pundit, I have worked as a private investigator, managed projects for a software company that developed software for political campaigns, ushered at a gubernatorial inauguration ceremony and drove in a presidential motorcade. In my free time I enjoy backcountry skiing, mountain biking, backpacking, cooking, eating, photography and reading.

I have five years of teaching experience and am excited to be joining the Forest Charter School family. While I am looking forward to bringing this experience to the table, I also look forward to picking up new ideas and strategies from all of the great education specialists and teachers at Forest Charter School.

Taylor, Camille

Taylor, Camille
Creekside Coordinator
I have come to Forest Charter School by way of a shift in careers from the subject of Law to that of Education. Acting within a group of Tahoe parents seeking options to the local traditional public schools, I found myself coordinating with Forest Charter School to establish a Tahoe City site: Creekside Cooperative. My education in English Literature from University of California at Los Angeles serves me well as the Site Coordinator at Creekside, enabling me to facilitate communications between teaching staff, parents, students and administration, and organize our efforts toward a common educational goal. I am daily inspired by my experiences with the exceptional talents within Forest Charter School and am thrilled to be a part of this exciting development in education.

I grew up in the Bay Area. I ventured a couple hours east to U.C. Davis for college. After college, I traveled east again to be a ski bum in Tahoe, and I'm still here. In 1990, I completed my teaching credential at UNR. I've been teaching preschool for years, and coaching for the Squaw Valley Ski Team. Children have been a major portion of my life and I look forward to continuing that tradition teaching Kindergarten at Creekside Cooperative.
